CODES OF CONDUCT, CHILD PROTECTION & EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY


ARNOLD TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB SUPPORTS THE PRINCIPLES OF THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION RULE NO:-42 RELATING TO FAIR PLAY IN FOOTBALL & THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHARTER MARK SCHEME.


Section A: CODES OF CONDUCT

PLAYERS

v      Play for fun.

v      Be a good sport.

v      Applaud all good behaviour.

v      Play by the rules.

v      Do not argue with the officials.

v      Do not display negative behaviour to anyone.

v      Co-operate with your team manager, officials, team members and opponents.

 

PARENTS, CARE GIVERS, HELPERS & SPECTATORS.

v      Applaud all good play.

v      Set a good example.

v      Remember that children play for the enjoyment of the game

v      Respect the decisions made by officials and teach children to do the same.

v      Never shout at a child/children who makes a mistake or for losing a game.

v      Reward effort rather than result.

v      Show your appreciation to all officials, volunteer coaches and organisers.

 

OFFICIALS

v      Place the safety and well being of each player above all other considerations.

v      Promote the Codes of Conduct t all times and do not accept foul play or bad behaviour.

v      Be a role model for players, parents, care givers and volunteers and display a high standard of behaviour on and off the pitch.

v      Always advise players (parents, carer givers when appropriate) on ways to improve performance.

v      Encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their behaviour and performance.

v      Strive to develop working relationships with each player based on mutual trust and respect.

 

GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT

v      Have respect for each other.

v      Contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone.

v      Treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves.

v      Welcome diversity amongst us.

v      Value individuals and respect their differences:-language, religion, ethnic origin, abilities, lifestyles, beliefs, and previous experiences.

v      Do not harass others through the use of inappropriate language or behaviour.

 

Section B: CHILD PROTECTION

Arnold Town Football Club is fully committed to safeguarding the well being of its child members. Officials and volunteers should at all times show respect and understanding for the rights, safety and welfare of each child by adhering to the Principles set out in the Code of Conduct.

 

Each child in our organisation has the right ….

v      To be safe.

v      To protect their own body.

v      To say NO!

v      To be believed.

v      To report and get help against bullies.

v      To report any incident that frightens or confuses them
